Prominent journalist Saidenga dies in Mizoram

Aizawl, Sep 29 (UNI) Eminent journalist Ellis Saidenga passed away here today. He was suffering from Cirrhosis.

He was 68.

Saidenga, also a renowned singer and composer, is survived by his wife and five children.

The demise took place at Aizawl Civil Hospital at about 1720 hours.

Saidenga was recently conferred 'Prominent Journalist' award by the Mizoram Journalists Association.

Apart from serving as the editor of Zoen, a Lunglei-based vernacular daily, Saidenga was also a radio artist.

He had composed more than 30 songs, along with recording 80 numbers, in the All India Radio, Aizawl station, where the journalist notched up a B High grade.
