Pondy Cooptex launches Diwali sale
Puducherry, Sep 29: The Co-optex today began it's Diwali sale here hoping to achieve a target of Rs 60 lakh for the festive season.
PMC Spokesman Lakshminarayanan, MLA, inaugurated the sale.
According to sources at the Co-optex showroom, the "Thirukkural Silk" sarees would be a special attraction for the season.
The saree was manufactured by weavers of Sirumukhai in Coimbatore with 1,330 'Kurals' on it. The cost of a saree is Rs one lakh.
Chairperson of Puducherry Municipality, Dr Sreedevi, launched the "Thirukkural Silk" sarees.
