IOB installs coin vending machine in Pondy

Puducherry,Sep 29(UNI)For the first time in Puducherry, a coin vending machine has been installed at the main branch of the Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) here.

Inspector General of Police Vasudeva Rao today inaugurated the vending machine in the presence of IOB Principal Regional Manager Geetha Shetty and Regional Manager A P Subramanian.

Mr Subramanian said only notes of Rs 50 and Rs ten would be accepted by the coin vending machine.

The bank would consider the installation of more such machines subject to its acceptance among customers, he said adding this was an initiative to reduce the coin scarcity here.
