High-alert in Gujarat; 17 crude bombs recovered
Ahmedabad, Sept 29: A state of high-alert has been sounded through-out Gujarat as police recovered 17 crude bombs in a rubbish bin in Ahmedabad on Monday, Sep 29.
The recovery of bombs near Kalupur Darwaza a day before the beginning of the state"s famous nine-day long Navaratri festival has sent terror shocks across Gujarat. It has further increased the tensions of police, who will now have to ensure the fixation of metal detectors on the entry gates of all Navaratri functions. Investigation is on to tracek the perons connected to this.
56 people were kiled and nearly 100 injured when 22 blasts ripped across Ahmedabad on July 26. A day later, nearly two dozen live bombs were found in Surat.
