German girl abducted and gang-raped

Chandigarh, Sep 29: A German girl's tour to India for her friend's wedding turned into a nightmare. A group of six youths abducted and molested the German national for 12 hours and returned her back! Yes, you heard right!

Six unidentified youths molested a 20-year-old German national after abducting her from the parking area of Taj Hotel in the city's posh sector 17 in the wee hours on Sunday, Sep 29. According to the victim"s complaint to the police, the accused allegedly took her to an undisclosed location. The victim alleged she, along with another German girlfriend, came to the city on September 23 in connection with the marriage of the friend with a city-based boy. She told the police that on Saturday night she along with her friend and her husband went to hotel Taj for coffee.

When she came out for a smoke in the parking lot of the hotel, at least six youths waiting in a Scorpio jeep pulled her inside the vehicle and raped her at different places in the city. "She was taken to a house first and then to a farmhouse. The youth tried to rape her but failed and got into an argument over killing her," a police officer said. He said that while the heated exchange was on, one of the youths dropped her outside her friend's house at sector 20. "The youths sexually assaulted her during 12 hours of captivity," he said.

Sector 17 SHO Kulwant Singh Pannu said, based on the girl's description, the cops were making sketches of the youth. "She was also taken to a hospital for medical examination," he said. Meanwhile, the police has tracked down the Scorpio used in this crime. Only that is is not a car but an auto.

Based on the victim's complaint, the Chandigarh police have booked six persons under sections 363, 366, 354, 376, 511, 506 and 34 of IPC.
