George Clooney in talks to star in 'Lone Ranger'?
London, Sept 29 : Hollywood hunk George Clooney is reportedly in talks to star in the upcoming Disney remake of the 'Lone Ranger'.
Johnny Depp has signed on to play the Indian sidekick Tonto in the movie, based on the popular Fifties television show - adapted from George W Trendle's classic old-time radio show - about the famously masked Texas Ranger.
And now, a source is saying that Clooney is being tipped to play the title role in the film, which will be written by the team behind the huge blockbuster 'Pirates Of The Caribbean'.
"Word is that George Clooney has shown a lot of interest in the role of the Lone Ranger and the studio has been talking to him about it," The Daily Express quoted the source, as saying.
"It was rumoured that Nicolas Cage was up for the role but that fizzled out a while ago. Clooney's name has come up quite a number of times since," the source added.
