British Council takes up campaign to propogate IELTS
Bangalore, Sep 29 (UNI) The British Council has taken up an initiative to propogate International English Language Testing System (IELTS), a global English language competition certificate, by reaching out to extended fraternities like educational agents and training institutes.
Brifing newspersons on the initiative, Kevin McLaven, First Secretary Educational Serivces of the British Council said the Council was presently on a non-stop tour of seven South Indian cities to meet various members of the IELTS fraternity.
The team would spend the evening in the city tomorrow with the fraternity to discuss various initiative related to IELTS and British Council's role and efforts in making candidate journey smooth.
It would also share the working of the Council's new online registration system to make the registration for IELTS simpler, he said.
IELTS is an effective programme that measuring true-to-life English language proficiency. More than one million candidates had taken IELTS programme worldwide during the last one year, he added.
