Bomb hoax at KTC bus stands in Goa
Panaji, Sep 29 (UNI) Panic gripped Goans when two Kadamba Transport Corporation (KTC) bus stands in the city and Margao in South Goa received bomb threats but both turned out to be hoax calls.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kishan Kumar said the Panaji control room had received an anonymous call that explosives were planted at two main KTC Bus stands.
Police along with Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad and sniffer dogs immediately launched a search operation in both the bus stands but found nothing suspicious, Mr Kumar said.
Mr Kumar said the call was traced back to the Public Call Office (PCO) near the Panaji KTC. However, the PCO owner was unable to identify the caller.
