Pondy: Auto owners, drivers hold demo

Puducherry, Sep 29: Autorickshaw owners and drivers affiliated to the CITU today took out a procession and held a demonstration in front of the RTO to press their demands.

Led by CPM State Secretary V Perumal and Former Secretary T Murugan, the procession began at the statue of V Subbiah and culminated in front of the RTO.

They were demanding among other things provision of five litre of petrol to autorickshaw drivers at a subsidised rate and ban on sale of adulterated petrol and diesel among others.
