17 crude bombs recovered in Ahmedabad
Ahmedabad, Sep 29 (UNI) Police today recovered 17 crude bombs from a dustbin in Kalupur Darwaza area of the city even as Gujarat gears up for the Navratri festivities, commencing from tomorrow.
On a tip-off, the police, along with the bomb squad, rushed to the area and recovered 'Sutli bombs', which were said to be low intensity explosives.
The bombs were later defused by the bomb disposal squad. The samples have been sent to the forensic laboratory for analysis.
Following the incident, police have further tightened security in the city.
