Three buried alive in landslide, bodies recovered

Kohima, Sep 28(UNI) Police has recovered three bodies from Naginimora police station area in Mon district who were buried alive under huge chunk of earth following landslide.

Official sources said that three people were sheltering in a makeshift hut in the Borjan area under Naginimora police station yesterday when they fell victim to lanslide triggered by heavy downpour in the area.

On receiving information, police swung into action and recovered the bodies.

The victims were identified as Laloo Baruah, Titi Saikia and Pradeep Saikia from Moran in Dibrugarh district of Assam, who were working as daily wage labour, sources added.
