NRI shot dead by nephew in Punjab
Ludhiana, Sep 28 (UNI) An NRI was allegedly shot dead and another person injured by his nephew at a place between Halwara and Raikot villages in the district this evening, police sources said.
The NRI identified as Randhir Singh, was fired upon by his nephew Sukhpal Singh while he was going to Raikot along with his friend Sukhdev Singh. He was killed on the spot, while Sukhdev sustained bullet injury and was admitted to a hospital here.
According to the police the NRI was involved in a property dispute with his nephew. The police has registered a murder case against Sukhpal Singh, who is still at large, they said.
