Woman attempts suicide at Haryana Police HQ

Panchkula, Sep 27 (UNI) A woman attempted to commit suicide at the Haryana Police headquarters here by consuming a poisnous substance today.

Suman (28), a resident of Samalkha in Panipat district, had come here to meet the Director General of Police to complain about alleged police inaction in the case of death of her brother Nitesh in mysterious circumstances two months ago.

The woman consumed a poisonous substance when the securitymen deployed at the police headquarters told her that she could not meet the DGP, Saturday being a holiday.

The woman was later taken to the PGI hospital where her condition was stated to be out of danger.
