Modernisation of M'lore Airport by 2009: Oscar
Mangalore, Sep 27 (UNI) Labour Minister Oscar Fernandes today said work on the integrated airport terminal at Bajpe Airport here would be completed by February next year.
Speaking to the press after inspecting the progress of the work at the airport, he said 65 per cent of the work on the integrated terminal had already been completed.
After completion of the work, Bajpe Airport would be declared as an International Airport.
Referring to the recent attacks on the Christian prayer halls in undivided Daxina Kannada and other parts in the State, including the capital, the Minister said the Centre viewed this seriously.
Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa had said he was pained at the incidents and assured he would not allow such incidents to recur.
People from all walks of life should cooperate with the District administration to restore peace, Mr Fernandes said.
