K'taka demands detailed report on Hogenakkal
Bangalore, Sep 27 (UNI) Karnataka Water Resources Minister Basavaraj Bommai today urged the Centre to direct the Tamil Nadu Government to provide a report on the proposed Hogenakkal Drinking Water Project across River Cauvery, to Karnataka.
Mr Bommai told reporters here that it was the responsibility of the Centre to provide details of the ''disputed projects''.
He also demanded that the Centre hold a meeting of the Water Resources Ministers of both the states to resolve the issue.
''Tamil Nadu should share the details of the project with us, as there are many controversies over boundary and sharing of water,'' he said.
Mr Bommai also circulated to the press a copy of the letter from the Union Water Resources Ministry to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, M Karunanidhi asking him to provide the project's final report to Karnataka.
