CM inaugurates ALEAP women industrial estate
Surampally (Andhra Pradesh), Sep 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajsekhara Reddy today inaugurated the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP) women industrial estate here for women entrepreneurs to set up their own units with integrated serveces provided for them by the government.
The project was taken up under public-private partnership supported by the Centre under industrial infrastructure development scheme.
The ALEAP, a state level organisation established in 1993 for upliftment and empowerment of women by establishing small, micro and medium enterprises.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone for Nalupunyam training institute here, being established by ALEAP to provide qualitative skills and training to unemployed women and youth in the state.
Later, interacting with women entrepreneurs and workers he said the state government would provide eight lakh jobs this year under 'Rajiv Udyog Sri' scheme by spending Rs 426 crore.
He said the training centres were being set up to foster skill by youth and women.
