Cheating complaint lodged against Idea Cellular

Jamnagar, Sep 27 (UNI) Dwarka Devasom Committee has lodged a cheating and breach of trust complaint against Idea Cellular Company with the Dwarka police station.

Police said Deputy Administrator of the Dwarka Devasom Committee H M Dholariya filed an FIR yesterday under Indian Peal Code Sections 406, 420 and 114, accusing Idea Cellular Company of cheating and breach of trust.

The administrator, in his complaint, stated that during the Jannamashtami festival last month, Idea had come out with a scheme offering their customers 'prasad' of Dwarka Mandir by deducting Rs 50 from their balance.

Mr Dholariya in his complaint stated that the company, however, did not take permission from the trust for launching such a scheme and collected Rs 2,25,000 from the customers, thus cheating them in the name of the 'prasad' of the temple.

Dwarka police station has registered the FIR and initiated investigations into the matter, police added.
