Army havaldar killed in Kashmir encounter

Srinagar, Sep 27 (UNI) An Army havaldar was killed when militants attacked a security force patrol party in Ganderbal district, official sources said today.

They said militants attacked a patrol party of 10 PARA at Lawanaz in Ganderbal forest. Troops also retaliated and in the fierce encounter, one havaldar Bahadur Singh Bahar was critically wounded.

He was immediately shifted to 92 base hospital where he died.

A massive search operation has been launched in the entire woods against the militants, they said.
