Antony concerned over Delhi blast

Kottayam, Sep 27 (UNI) Defence Minister A K Antony today called upon people in all States to unitedly fight terrorism.

Addressing the Congress Party meeting here, he expressed his concern over blasts repeatedly occurring in different parts of the country.

Though the government was vigilant, terrorists were succeeding in organising blasts at different areas, he said and appealed to the people to unitedly fight terrorists and enemies of the nation.

When the terrorists were raising challenges on one side, on the other side deliberate attempts were being made to create communal problems by causing religious hatred, he said adding the Union Government was taking strong steps to contain communal forces.

People were well aware of the gains and failures of all major political parties in the country.

If the UPA was at the Centre, the BJP, CPI (M) and other parties were at different States, he said and appealed to the people to evaluate the performance of each government and strengthen the hands of the Congress during the next Parliament election.

Indian National Congress was only party which could effectively face the challenges of communal forces in the country, he asserted.

He called upon the people in Kerala to correct their mistake during the next Parliamentary elections.
