Youth commits suicide, FIR against BSP MLA

Etawah/Lucknow, Sep 26 (UNI) An FIR was today lodqed against suling BSP MLA Bheem Rao Ambedkar and six others after a Dalit youth Sudhar Singh allegedly committed suicide, following atrocities in Bharthana area of Etawah district in Uttar Pradesh.

UP Additional Director General of Police (law and order) Brijlal told UNI that the case was registered on the complaint of deceased's brother Surjan Singh.

The government had taken back the land given on lease to the youth, after which he work a letter to the Commissioner in this reqard. The letter was, however, still under consideration with the Commissioner, Mr Brijlal added.

Sudhar of Ikdil area had late last night consumed poison and left behind a suicide note, alleging the MLA from Lakhna seat as responsible for his extreme step, police said.

The suicide note read''I (a Dalit) have been deprived of justice under the present Ms Mayawati's rule.

''I was given a land on lease by the gram panchayat, but the MLA wanted a marriage hall on it.'' ''Now, I have no land and also any reason to survive,'' itadded.
