Tata should reconsider Nano pull out from Singur: Biman
Kolkata, Sep 26 (UNI) CPI(M) State Secretary Biman Bose today said tata group chairman Ratan Tata should reconsider the decision for its Nano project pullout from Singur.
Speaking on the sidelines of Bangiya Sakhyarata Prasar Samity rally here, Mr Bose said, ''The project is important for the state's development. The Tata Motors needs to set up the small car unit in West Bengal. It should have sought the state government's assistance rather than pulling out. The company could not maintain the timeframe for the Nano rollout. A few days were lost...., but they could have taken more time.'' He reiterated that the Tatas should change its decision to pull out from the state and seek the state government's assistance to ensure smooth running of the unit.
He opined that Tata Motors needed to complete the project.
