Seven suspected militants killed in Assam encounter

Guwahati, Sept 26 : Seven suspected militants were killed in an encounter with the Army in the Bashbari area of Dhubri district in Assam today.

According to official sources, the militants exchanged fire with the troops around 3.30 a.m. during an operation conducted by the Army's Redhorn Division near the railway tracks between Dhubri and Fakiragram.

Four pistols and revolvers were recovered from them. The identity of the militants is yet to be established.
