Sandalwood smuggler shot dead by forest guards
Bangalore, Sep 26 (UNI) One person was shot dead and another sustained bullet injury, when Forest guards opened fire against a gang while trying to smuggle sandalwood at the Bannerghatta National Park, in the Bangalore Urban District today.
Police said the forest guards retaliated after the gang fell a sandalwood tree early today and opened fire.
The injured was admitted to a Government Hospital in the city.
