Rupee opens high at 46.15 against US Dollar

Mumbai, Sep 26: The spot rupee on Friday, Sep 26 resumed high at 46.15/17 against US dollar with a small gain of six paise, from its previous close of 46.21, on fresh demand for dollar from foreign banks and importers.

Later, it fluctuated in a narrow range between 46.15 and 46.56 during the mid-session. Dealers said Rupee gained on month-end dollar demand from importers and oil refiners. However, the central bank might intervene to prevent a sharp fall.
