Power theft worth lakhs in UP city

Kanpur, Sep 26 (UNI) Power theft worth Rs 28 lakhs have come to light in this industrial city of Uttar Pradesh.

Kanpur Electricity Supply Corporation's (KESCO) vigilance department late yesterday conducted raids at two plastic factories in Daadanagar area, power department sources said today.

Both the factories had taken power connection of 100 Horse Power at each unit, but set their metres.

One person had been arrestd in this regard, the sources added.
