Police looking for people involved in human trafficking
Imphal, Sep 26 (UNI) Manipur Police is desperately looking for people allegedly involved in human trafficking by luring girls and boys in the name of job.
Police said five tribal girls, four from Tamenglong district in Manipur and a girl from Assam were reportedly sold at a night club in Malaysia.
One Phillip Gonmei is in police custody in connection with the case.
The five girls were now in a destitute home at Singapore after they fled from the night club, police said adding they do not have proper documents with them now.
Human rights activists from the state has informed the Ministry of Home Affairs and External Affairs about the matter.
