Pak High Commission identifies 15 inmates in Amritsar jail
Amritsar, Sep 26 (UNI) A Pakistan High Commission delegation today identified 15 Pakistani inmates lodged in the Amritsar Central jail here.
Hoping that these inmates would be free in about a fortnight, the two members of the delegation, Mukhtiar Hussain and Asgar Ali said thay were taking documents regarding these prisoners for verification.
In all, a total of 54 Pakistani prisoners were lodged in the Central jail here, of which 25 have already been identified.
According to the Pakistan High Commission members, at least 670 Pakistani citizens were languishing in various Indian prisons for the minor fault of inadvertently crossing the border.
