Officials arrested on bribery charges
Bangalore, Sep 26 (UNI) Karnataka Lok Ayukta police today arrested a Village Accountant and Grama Sahayak of Ammonagad, Bagalkot district, on charges of accepting bribe for showing an official favour.
A release here said Village Accountant Anil Kumar demanded Rs 10,000 as bribe from complainant Srikanth Erabasappa Kalyanada who had applied for a name change in a document.
Grama Sahayak Shankarappa Yamanappa Katti, who received the bribe amount on direction from Anil Kumar, was caught redhanded by the police.
