Nanavati report exposes political leaders:BJP
Patna, Sep 26 (UNI) The BJP's Bihar unit today welcomed the report of the Justice Nanavati Commission on the Godhra train carnage, stating that it had exposed the political leaders indulged in vote bank politics.
The party's state spokesperson Vinod Narayan Jha alleged that some leaders had vested interest in covering up the reality to please a particular section of the society.
''The report is an eyeopener since it exposed the turth and rubbished the claims of the leaders who wanted the people to believe that karsevaks were not attacked from outside,'' Mr Jha said.
He informed that the karsevaks were attacked by a mob from outside, while Rajak Kurkur and Salim Pamwala had poured 140 litres of kerosene oil in the S-6 coach of Sabarmati express. Altogether 59 karsevaks were charred alive after it was torched, according to him.
Hailing the efforts of the Nanavati Commission, Mr Jha felt the job done by the panel in bringing out the facts and truth was commendable.
