Kakinada, Sep 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister K Rosaiah today said the attack on Lanco office, owned by Congress MP L Rajagopal, and subsequent outbursts and agitations in both Telangana and Andhra regions would not benefit the State and those in Telangana spearheading the separate State movement.

Talking to newspersons here, he said ''it is unfortunate responsible Telangana leaders are trying to politicise a small issue, which could be resolved at the local level.

''One should keep restrained in such a situation instead of complicating the issue. Indulging in destruction of properties and hurling abuses will not help in solving the problem.'' Mr Rosaiah said separate Telangana was a sensitive issue and the matter has been referred to AICC President Sonia Gandhi.

''Being disciplined soldiers of a national party, all the Congressmen in the State should abide by the decision of Ms Gandhi whether it is pro or against,'' he said He also appealed the people not to aggravate the situation and let the law take its own course in Lanco episode.

Mr Rajagopal's car allegedly hit a TRS activist, who suffered a fracture, yesterday.

Angered over the accident, a group of TRS workers pelted stones at Lanco's office and vehicles parked in its premises.

Mr Rajagopal alleged the TRS leadership was inciting violence for political mileage. However, the TRS denied their involvement in the attack.
