Kamat urges media to do constructive reporting
Panaji, Sep 26 (UNI) Saying journalists play an important role in society, Goa Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today advised them to do positive reporting highlighting schemes implemented by the government.
Speaking after inaugurating a seminar on Wage Board jointly organised by Central Board for Worker's Education, Ministry of Labour and Employment of India regional Directorate, and the Goa Union of Journalists here, Mr Kamat urged the journalist fraternity to focus on constructive reporting with an emphasis on government schemes for their effective implmentation and for the betterment of rural populace.
The Chief Minister said the government was preparing a scheme, Kritadnata Nidhi, exclusively for the betterment of journalists, which will come into force shortly, he added.
