{image-Arjun Singh_26092008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, Sep 26: Union HRD Minister Arjun Singh has supported Jamia Vice Chancellor Mushr Ul Hasan's decision to provide legal help to two students arrested for terrorism.
Hasan has been under fire from the BJP ever since he announced providing legal aid to Shakeel Ahmed and Zia Ul Rahman, the two students picked up by the Delhi police last week. The VC had appealed to students to exercise restraint and maintain dignity in the wake of the developments. A peace march was also taken out in the campus led by the Vice Chancellor. Teaching staff and students also participated in the march.
Hasan went to meet the HRD minister at his residence to apprise him of all that's been happening within the premises of Jamia University. Incidentally, the Jamia University named its distance learning center after the HRD minister in May last year.
