IGNOU courses now available on mobiles
New Delhi, Sept 26 (UNI) Students can now access IGNOU's content on mobiles and broadband with the open university signing a pact with Time Broadband.
Time Broadband, which is launching IPTV services in the country from October, will also broadcast IGNOU's Gyan Darshan channel on the Internet.
The company, which has entered into an agreement with BSNL to roll out the IPTV service in the country after the government recently cleared the guidelines for it, believes the new technology will redefine the entertainment space in the country.
''The high point of IPTV services will be the easy accessibility by subscribers and the reach,'' Time Broadband CEO Sujata Dev told reporters here today.
She said Time Broadband has also entered into an agreement with ISKCON to provide spiritual discourses on the IPTV platform.
ISKCON would churn out 400-500 hours of content per year, said founder of ISKCON's broadcast ITV Haridas Prabhu.
