HSCIL to be integrated into Honda's pan-Asia supply chain
Tapukara, Alwar, Sept 26 (UNI) With the Indo-Asean Free Trade Agreement likely to be in force next year onwards, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd (HSCIL) will be integrated into Honda's pan-Asia supply chain network.
Besides, the company's second plant at Rajasthan will be used to export certain engine components to Asian countries, Honda Motors President and CEO Takeo Fukui said.
''With the Indo-Asean FTA, HSCIL will get integrated into Honda's pan-Asia supply chain network...for exporting certain engine components to Asian countries, we will use Rajasthan plant,'' Mr Fukui told reporters here at the company's second plant inauguration.
He reiterated that Honda hopes to source more components from the Indian vendors to supply to nearby countries.
