High security for 10-day Dussehra festival: Minister
Mysore, Sep 26: Karnataka Home Minister V S Acharya said high security would be provided during the ten-day Dussehra festivities commencing here from September 30.
Speaking to newspersons on Thursday, Sep 25 the Minister said in order to safeguard the tourists, during the festival, the security arrangements were strengthened. Additional police forces would be deployed to the city from neighbouring districts, besides Rapid Action Force(RAF), he added.
Mr Acharya said security arrangements were entrusted to private parties at an estimated cost of Rs 2.5 crore, in view of serial bomb blasts taken place in the country.
