Govt to spend Rs 7,000 cr on road development in rural AP
Kakinada, 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Minister and East Godavari district in-charge J C Diwkara Reddy today said Rs 7,000 crore would be spent on development of roads in rural areas of the state during this year.
Addressing a meeting after declaring open the Narsipudi-Modukuru road in Alamuru Assembly constituency, near here, he said every village in the state would be provided with cement-concrete roads and drainage system.
He said tenders for the Rs 1,200 crore work in the first phase would be called tomorrow while tenders for the second phase of work for an equal amount would be invited within a fortnight.
