Four suspected Maoists nabbed
Rourkela, Sep 26 (UNI) Four suspected Maoists were arrested by police from Biramitrapur during checking of vehicles yesterday, Sundargarh Superintendent of Police Narashingha Bhol said here today.
Mr Bhol said the car used by the suspected Maoists was seized and police recovered two powerful walki talkies besides 230 rounds of ammunition from their possession.
The SP said the four had been identified as Ajit Rai from Maharastra, Raj Babbar Singh and Ramesh Singh from Bihar and Yash Kumar from Chhatishgarh.
One of their accomplices, however, managed to give a slip to police.
Mr Bhol said the detail antecedents of the four suspected Maoists were being verified and interrogation was going on.
They will be produced before a local court tomorrow.
