Manipur: Four militants shot dead

Imphal, Sep 26: In all four suspected militants were shot dead by security personnels in two separate incidents on Thursday, Sep 25 night. Police on Friday, Sep 26 said three militants were killed in an operation jointly launched by Imphal police and Assam Rifle at Phunal Maring in Imphal East.

They were killed after a brief shoot out, SP Imphal East Th Radheshyam confirmed.

Two 9 mm revolvers, eight live cartridges and hand grenade were also recovered from them, police added.

In another incident a militant was shot dead at Awang Leikinthabi in Imphal West yesterday, police said.
