Couple crushed to death in Jammu

Jammu, Sep 26 (UNI) A couple from Amritsar got killed when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding truck near Miran Sahib on city outskirts, police said here today.

''The coupe was on their motorcycle from Jammu towards Miran Sahib when a speeding truck hit them, resulting in grievous injuries to them late last night,'' the police told UNI.

On receiving information, the police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured couple to the Government Medical College Hospital (GMC), Jammu.

''The lady identified as Gurpreet Kaur was declared as brought dead while her husband Bhupinder Singh, resident of Amritsar succumbed later,'' the police added.
