Find solution to Chengara land struggle: Chandy

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 26: The Opposition United Democratic Front (UDF) on Friday, Sep 26 asked Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan to find an immediate solution to the Chengara land struggle.

The UDF led by Opposition leader in the Kerala Assembly, Oommen Chandy met Mr Achuthanandan at his residence and asked the Government to resolve the issue soon.

Later talking to newspersons, Mr Chandy said the UDF had extended its support to the Government for solving the 14-month-old agitation.

The Opposition was of the view that landless should be given land by abiding law, he added.
