AP Govt to give boost to tourist spots

Hyderabad, Sep 26 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today decided to give a boost to some of tourist spots and develop 500 acres at Nizamsagar on the lines of the famed Mysore Brindavan gardens.

An official release here said the Chief Minister gave the green signal to set up three luxury hotels--one five-star, one four-star and a three-star hotel on Public-Private Patrnership (PPP) model on tourism department site near the National Academy of Construction and Hitex in Hyderabad.

Dr Reddy reviewed the project for developing an eco-adventure tourism resort and a Mini Golf course at Idupulapaya in Kadapa district.

The Itchapuram tourism project in Srikakulam district taken up at a coast of Rs 10 crore would be completed by the Social Welfare Engineering Department, for which Rs 40 lakh had already been released.

A four-star hotel with 200 plus rooms and 100 service apartments in a three acres area inside the complex of National Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (NITHM) would be constructed. It would be used as a training centre for NITHM students. Also areas surrounding Nagarjunasar would be developed as international tourist spot, the release added.
