Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) The anticipatory bail plea of diamond merchant Bharat Shah was today adjourned by Justice V K Tahil Ramani of Bombay High Court till October 7 after Shah's advocate sought time to file a reply to the police report submitted in this regard.

Shah had moved the Bombay High Court for an anticipatory bail for his alleged involvement in presenting a bogus plan in a local court for the purchase of a land and its distribution and forging a signature on it.

Shah, Anup Mehta and others to prove the sale and purchase of the said land at Borivali in North Mumbai, worth crores of rupees, had submitted the plan stating it to be of M/s Jaykar and Surveyors, in which land division was also mentioned.

However, the prosecution contended that this plan was bogus. To prove their point, the prosecution also submitted a letter from M/s Jaykar and Surveyours, in which it was clearly stated by them that the plan which was submitted by Shah and Mehta, was not prepared by M/s Jaykar and Surveyours and that the signature on the plan was also a forged one.
