Karnataka: Sandlewood smuggler shot dead by Forest guards

Bangalore, Sep 26: One person was shot dead and another sustained bullet injury when Forest guards opened fire against a smuggler gang while trying to smuggle Sandalwood at the Bannerghatta National Park, in the Bangalore Urban district on Friday, Sep 26.

According to police sources, the forest guards retaliated firing opened by the gang which was trying to fell a sandalwood in the wee hours. The injured was admitted to a Government Hospital in the city.
