63 films would be screened during Dasara Film Festival

Mysore, Sept 26 (UNI) In all 63 films would be screened during a week-long Film Festival as part of the world famous Dasara Festivities beginning here from September 30, Dasara Film Sub-Committee Chairman Madan Patel said today.

Addressing a press conference here, he said that some of the award winning and selected Kannada films, including those of Dada Saheb Palke Awardee late Raj Kumar, besides foreign movies from China, Italy, Poland, USA and Iran would be screened in seven theaters.

Karnataka Film Chamber President and actress Jayamala would declare open the festival.

He said that during the Festival, several film personalities would be honooured in recognition of their contributions to Kannada film.
