4 bodies recovered in Pratapgarh boat capsize incident

Pratapgarh, Sep 26 (UNI) Four bodies were fished out today, after a boat, reportedly carrying 35 rptg 35 people, capsized here yesterday.

The bodies were identified as those of Rajkali, Kanchan Yadav, Bachna Devi and Ram Asrey.

Divers and local fishermen were still making efforts to trace out other bodies. Twenty divers of Allahabad were also deployed on the site.

Altogether 19 people had reportedly drowned after a boat capsized midstream in Sai river in Antu area near Peelupur ghat.

A total of 35 passengers were travelling in the boat.

In another incident here today, a girl drowned in Bakulahi river.

Her body has been fished out.
