Youth Congress leader remanded to 14 days judicial custody
Mumbai, Sep 25 (UNI) A local court today remanded a youth Congress leader to judicial custody for 14 days in a trespassing case.
Jami Jafri, the youth wing leader of the Congress in Andheri, a western suburb, was booked under sections 454 and 457 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) for trespassing and was produced in the Andheri court, which remanded him to juidical custody.
He was arrested by the police last night for allegedly breaking the lock of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's health centre at Milat Nagar and running the party affairs from the place, police said here today.
The dispensary was closed for last couple of months due to the shortage of staff, they added.
