TTD to conduct free marriages on Nov 2

Hyderabad, Sep 25 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman D K Adikesavulu today said the TTD would conduct the Kalyanamastu (Free Mass Marriages) on November 2 at all the Assembly constituencies in the State.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the TTD had earlier conducted three'' Kalyanamastu'' events and nearly 20,000 couple got maried in these programmes with expenditure borne by the TTD with a view to help the poor people in the State.

He said the TTD had taken all measures to conduct the marraiges with the help of district administration in the respective areas.

He said nearly 18,000 to 20,000 marriages would be conducted in the programme and the TTD would spend on an average Rs 7,000 for each marriage.

The TTD would provide free cellar darshan to the couple and also their parents on the marraige day.

TTD Executive Officer K V Ramanachary said the applications to register their names would be avaiable at all the mandal head quarters and village sarpanches .
