SC refuses to stay proceedings in Rizwan murder case
New Delhi, Sep 25 (UNI) The Supreme Court today refused to stay the proceedings in Rizwan murder case in which top industrialist of Kolkata Todi is the main accused.
Rizwan, who had married the daughter of Todi, was found dead under mysterious circumstances and the investigation was transferred to CBI following the allegations made by the family members of the killed alleging that local police was trying to shield the culprits.
A bench comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishanan and Justices P Sathasivam and J M Panchal, however, fixed October 13 for hearing of the petition when the same was mentioned before the court for urgent hearing.
