Rs 639.85 crore approved for Mughal road in J
Srinagar, Sep 25 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir State Administrative Council (SAC), besides approving a revised amount of Rs 639.85 crore for Mughal Road Project, has also taken a number of other administrative decisions, an official spokesman said here today.
He said the SAC, which met Governor N N Vohra in chair, accorded revised administrative approval to the Mughal Road Project from Rs 255 crore to Rs 639.85 crore.
The road connects Poonch in Jammu region with Shopian in south Kashmir.
He said the SAC also approved the induction into Kashmir Administrative Service (KAS) of 142 officers from various feeding services and Junior KAS officers.
The SAC also approved creation of 136 posts of Assistant Accounts Officers and their utilisation in the C D Blocks.
In another decision, the SAC approved re-organisation of J and K Economics and Statistics Gazetted and Non-Gazetted cadre and creation of 433 posts in both Gazetted and Non-Gazetted cadre.
The SAC also approved procurement, purchase, import of machines and equipments by Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA).
It also approved transfer of land belonging to Tourism Department measuring 1 kanal and 19 marlas to J and K LAWDA for construction of Intermediation Pumping Station (IPS-I) for conservation of Dal and Nigeen Lakes.
