Mumbai, Sep 25 (UNI) Both the precious metals surged ahead today with Silver up by Rs 155 per kg and Gold by Rs 95 per ten gm on sustained demand by industrial users, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
Silver .999 variety opened high at Rs 20,935 on fresh demand from local dealers.
Later, the white metal inched up to Rs 21,045, gaining Rs 155 per kg from its previous close, on brisk buying support from jewellery makers.
Standard and pure gold opened high at Rs 13,125 and Rs 13,180 per ten gm respectively, on improved demand by stockists.
Later, standard and pure gold advanced by Rs 95 per ten gm each from their last close, on fresh demand to end at Rs 13,110 and Rs 13,170 per ten gm respectively.
In the international market, gold was recorded at USD 888.00/889.50 per ounce from USD 890.00/890.50, while silver was at USD 13.44/13.45 an ounce from USD 13.57/13.58.
